Dr. P. Madhusoodanan is a Graduate of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) and passed out in the year 1970 and specialised in General Surgery from the same Institute in 1974 and went on to Super Specialise in Urology in 1984 from the Postgraduate Institute ct Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He has served in Armed Forces from 1970 till 201O in various Professional and Administrative appointments including coveted positions like Head of the Department (Surgical Divisions),R&R Hospital, New Delhi, Professor(AFMC), Dean (Armed Forces Medical College), Chief Surgeon to the Armed Forces and finally to the pinnacle as the Director General of Medical services(Air). For his brilliant Academic and Professional achievements he has been awarded many llaurels including Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), Athi Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), by the President of India and COAS & GOC-in-C Commendations
